Marije de Haan, menswear designer based in The Hague, graduated June 2010 from the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. She was selected for Lichting 2010 during Amsterdam Fashion Week and with this show she won the G-Star Raw Talent Award. ​ In September 2010 she was awarded with the Haagse Toptalent scholarship, so she could start her own label and show her first collection at Amsterdam Fashionweek on January 27th, 2011. On January 26th, 2012 de Haan presented her second collection during Amsterdam Fashion Week. ​ Her work comes from a fascination with the fringes of society, the unsavory, criminal. Within this fascination she finds surrealistic images, such as mug shots and occasional views of things we are not supposed to see. In her work De Haan is looking for tranquility and anonymity.
